The second International Ocean Colour Science (IOCS) meeting was convened by the International Ocean Colour Coordinating Group (IOCCG), with sponsorship from NASA, NOAA, EUMETSAT, ESA and CNES as well as the Moore Foundation.This was the second in a series of IOCS meetings with the overarching theme of "Application of Ocean Colour from Climate to Water Quality". These biennial meetings is to build a strong global user community for ocean colour science and applications, and to foster exchange between the research community and space agency representatives.
